Correction of the Male Breast

Correction of the Male Breast. For men with Gynecomastia is the large and sometimes feminine appearance of the breast a very present and annoying problem. Mostly the excess tissue is fat and extra glandular tissue.

The causes can be very varied. This condition can occur due to weight or hormonal changes, genetic factors, but also drugs such as anabolic steroids, prostate treatment etc. An endocrinological examination may therefore be necessary before the operation.

The increased fat in the breast can be effectively and permanently removed almost completely painlessly by suction.

In most cases, the extraction of the adipose tissue in the breast can be carried out on an outpatient basis. In some cases, with very large breasts, a short and mild anaesthetic followed by an overnight stay will be necessary. The surgery itself takes between 1-2 hours. After infiltrating a solution of local anaesthetic and epinephrine, the fatty tissue will be sucked out through tiny cuts. If the skin tightening is not sufficient, an additional extraction of skin through small incisions around the nipples may be necessary. Also, in addition to the existing fat, glandular tissue can be removed through a small incision on the edge of the nipple, creating a harmonious breast shape.

To achieve a nice and tight new breast shape, a special supportive vest designed for men should be worn for a few weeks after surgery. This promotes skin tightening and reduces swelling and pain. The result - a harmonic breast shape with lasting results.

For every operation:

Do not take blood thinning drugs such as aspirin, ASS, Plavix, Warfarin etc, 14 days before the elective surgery!
