Upper Arm and Thigh Lift
After considerable weight loss, the skin is often not flexible enough to to respond accordingly. Often there are even stretch marks and tears in the skin. The resulting excess is mainly on the upper arms and thighs, which many people find to be unaesthetic. Liposuction is, in this case, no longer advisable.
This problem can be addressed with a surgical procedure on the upper arm. The sagging skin and excess fat are removed from the upper arm doing surgery, and the normal and firmer contour of the upper arm can be returned.
The scars, unavoidable with an upper arm lift, with be positioned so that they are as inconspicuous as possible on the inside of the arm, near the armpit. In addition to arm surgery, the result can be further optimised by targeted liposuction in the transition zones. The thigh lift procedure is similar.
The operation is usually performed under general anaesthesia. After surgery, you should take sufficient time to recover. Most wounds will have healed after 2-3 weeks. A specially customised compression garment should be work for several weeks after your surgery. The stitches will dissolve naturally and will not need to be removed.
For every operation:
Do not take blood thinning drugs such as aspirin, ASS, Plavix, Warfarin etc, 14 days before the elective surgery!
